"What a wonderful hidden treasure Chorus & Clouds is. We enrolled our son in the Explorer’s Lab thinking it would be a nice art class for him once a week, but it was so much more. He’s learned to make friends, work with others, discover boundaries, explore his own interests and even started to find his own voice. The other side that’s maybe not talked about as much, is the support and friendships that I’ve gained with other parents and caregivers. I’ve learned so much from these friendships and felt less alone and part of a community.
Jess is not just an amazing teacher and kind soul, but a social hub in the community creating safe places for not just kids, but for parents to learn and grow as well. I would highly recommend Chorus & Clouds for a wholistic development experience that encompasses child, parent and the surrounding community."

A parent participated class for **ages 2+ children should have practice or show interest in sitting and attending book readings, sharing and be moving beyond parallel play with other children. This explorer’s lab class for 2+ is designed to offer pre-school aged children experience in developing early learning skills in a play based setting. The class is inspired by play, exploration and creativity. Each week we will introduce new concepts and build upon the previous week’s activities. The structure of the class varies to meet the needs of each child. Typically we kick off class with a warm and welcoming music circle that encourages children to gather and share their ideas. Our play-based approach to learning allows us to gauge the responsiveness of each child and allows the class to unfold as organically as possible. Art experiences usually follow our welcoming circle, but children have free choice to move in and out of the other learning provocations within the space. While at Explorer's Lab, children learn at their own pace, with guidance from myself, and through parent participation. At the end of each session children can expect to take home their creations and leave with a strong sense of pride. If you’re looking for a meaningful and rewarding experience for your child, the Explorer's Lab is waiting for you! **Please note: this is a mess friendly environment. Messes and stains are a natural part of the learning and we do not use smocks as a way to promote awareness of the effects of our art making experiences. All of our materials are thoughtfully sourced and are non-toxic.
